Once you indicate you would like a customized product, we will consult with you to determine the type of customization you would like on your products (i.e., name, logo, special slogan, etc). We will also work with you to secure the type of files we need (see below) if you are submitting your logo or trademarked slogan, etc.
Eat Local Food uses Mac based systems in their art department.
Yes, we will provide you with two electronic PDF proofs of your design for your review. We ask you to select one of the designs and if you would like to see minor changes to the proof, that is included at no extra charge. The charge for a major revision or a completely new design will be discussed with you at the time of the request. We will never proceed with the production of a product until we have received your e-mailed approval of the customized design.
The time it takes for your order to be processed depends on the product you order and whether you’ve chosen the customization option or not. Banners ordered without customization will be received by you within a week to 10 days. Banners ordered with customization features will be received by you within 10 days, but that somewhat depends on the customization proof timing, as discussed above. Eat Local Food in-stock tote bags and postcards will ship within 1-2 days after they are ordered. Customized Eat Local Food tote bags required a 5-6 week lead time. The processing time for all other customized products will be communicated to you upon placing your order.
If you have a special deadline for an event or conference, we request that you inform us of your deadline upon placing your order. We will let you know if we can meet your deadline. If we cannot, we will cancel your order (if it was placed on-line) at no extra cost to you. We make every effort to help you get ready for your special events, but we do recommend you place your order as early as possible to allow for unexpected delays.

There are several companies that offer many types of display hardware. One that we are comfortable recommending because we have used them ourselves is FFR-DSI. Their web site is www.ffr.com. Eat Local Food is not affiliated with FFR-DSI nor do we guarantee their products.
For outside use: The ideal method is to use bungee cords or some other type of elastic cord and attach all grommets with at least two inches of space between banner and supporting structure. The elastic cord will hold the banner taut, and if wind is a factor, it allows some flexing which will reduce the likelihood of damage from strong wind. Rope is not a good choice for hanging banners as it will slacken over time increasing the likelihood of damage from wind. Strong winds may damage the banner, so we advise taking the banner down in case of a severe weather alert. Please exercise good judgment in caring for your banner to maximize its useful life.
For inside use: If you chose the option of grommets on top and a pole pocket bottom, you should purchase wooden dowels cut approximately 2 inches shorter than the width of your banner. The dowels provide weight but should be inserted so they are not visible to your customers.
If transporting more than one banner, do not place the printed side on top of another printed side. Rolling up the banners with Kraft paper in between will help protect the banner images.
To clean your banner, use warm water and a soft cloth. Never use any solvent based cleaners.
We recommend you turn your Eat Local Food Tote Bag inside out and wash it on a cold water setting. Leaving it turned inside out, it can be put in your dryer on a low heat setting.
Your Eat Local Food tote bag is made of 10 ounce natural cotton and will appear wrinkled upon taking it out of the dryer. We recommend you leave the bag inside out and smooth out the corners of the bottom gusset so it lays flat. You can then iron the bag on a high cotton setting and the image will be protected inside the bag. We do not recommend placing the iron directly on the artwork on the front of the bag.
