Safe Food Sampling at Farmers Markets
Serving samples is a great marketing tool to draw in hungry customers and introduce them to your product.  Customers at farmers markets and food expos are more likely to buy when they can sample first.  As a vendor, it's your responsibility to make sure you're presenting a safe and sanitary sampling environment.

cut_radish_CAW_photoIn May 2009 the Michigan Department of Agriculture released a new document, Guidelines for Providing Safe Food Samples at Farmers Markets. Hygiene, temperature control, and food protection are just some of the important topics addressed in this document.

Interested in learning more about safe food sample practices?  Your customers will notice your hygienic habits and appreciate your attention to detail.  At the Great Lakes Expo, a panel of speakers will discuss sampling fresh fruits and vegetables, meats and processed foods at farmers markets.

Fine Art Banners sell your fresh produce
At last year's Great Lakes Fruit, Vegetable and Farm Market Expo we unintentionally premiered a new product.   We brought a small version of each of our banner designs, and customers loved them!   Most customers bought 4-5 with the intention of hanging them along the front of their farmer's market booth - a colorful way to show the diversity of their locally grown produce.    We're calling this product the "sample banner" and it's now available for you.

Holiday_Market_banner_peppersOur new 13" x 20" banner size gives you more eye-catching colorful design options that will draw customers to your produce display.  We will send you 5 one-sided, grommeted reinforced full color vinyl banners with a matte finish.  Your choice of the 5 designs.

We are pleased to offer this size to you at the special price of $90.00 for five banners with free shipping!  Click here to order in our on-line Eat Local Food store.   To select banners, please copy down the model numbers of the banners you desire and add to the comments during the checkout process, or call 734.341.7028.
